Despite what you might think of the iconic Georgian parade that is the Pantiles, there’s only one genre of music the Tunbridge Wells faithful associate with the heart of town, and that’s jazz. With the bandstand just out of sight at the Old Fishmarket though, we knew something had to be done to keep our diners toes tapping while enjoying all the delights on the Sankey’s menu.
That’s why, starting from this Thursday, we’re teaming up with the brilliant Paul Dunton and the Local & Live team to bring an array of talented musicians in the blue sand jazz field to our little corner of the Pantiles. We’re kicking things off with the brilliant Rob Picazo, noted for his combination of soulful vocals and bluesy melodies, then following up with the following line-up of acts in the weeks to come:
May 12th - Laura Lawton
May 19th - The Management Acoustic Duo
May 26th - Jennifer Maslin & John Harriman
